Experius Academy launches in 2010 at Gateway Canyons Resort, located in one of the most undiscovered, inspiring places on the planet — southwestern Colorado’s red rock canyon country. Offering week long retreats for individuals and groups, Experius Academy provides a unique platform for the celebration of learning, the sparking of new ideas, and the enjoyment of a spectacular setting.

At Experius Academy, our five day vacation programs blend learning and enrichment with adventure, entertainment and relaxation. We’ll explore your questions. We’ll play. We’ll relax.
The Programs
Each day brings Feature Lectures from leaders in a variety of fields who discuss compelling issues in science, art, the humanities, and civilization. Daily Western Experience presentations take participants to the heart of local points of interest, culture and cuisine through small classes, field trips and excursions.
Experius Academy features pre-designed theme weeks (details coming soon) open to the general public, along with customized programs for special interest groups, alumni organizations, and businesses. Showcase your own experts and presenters while we add the entertainment and enrichment trimmings, or let us design a week specifically for you.
Facilities
Experius Academy events are held in Gateway Canyons Resort’s brand new Palisade Event Center. Groups of up to 120 are easily accommodated in the fully-equipped Palisade Grand Hall which centers the facility, surrounded by the Sunset Atrium, Storyteller Library, Paint Horse Art Studio, Old Sage Boardroom, Experius HD Theater, and the Entrada Restaurant and Lounge.
Gateway Canyons Resort
Guests at Experius Academy experience one of the most unique vacation settings in the world. The majestic and geologically significant canyons contain features rarely found on earth, from Precambrian rock formations to ancient petroglyphs to rare floral species. The landscape inspires, and plays off Mother Nature’s daily changes. Gateway Canyons Resort complements this setting, naturally, as its architecture subtly blends into the scenery. The resort offers a choice of accommodations, dining options, spa services and adventure opportunities — from hiking, biking, and riding, to convertible tours of the Rockies, and dinosaur treks where you can step into a dinosaur footprint made nearly 200 million years ago. The resort is also home to the Gateway Colorado Auto Museum, a celebration of the American car, which houses the renowned Hendricks collection.
